Horses with Heart Fundraisers

Annual Bowl-a-thon

For 15 years, Horses with Heart has raised funds to help offset the cost of special needs riders’ therapeutic riding lessons and Special Olympics sessions and shows. Many riders participate by having sponsors pledge money to raise these funds. In some cases, the entire year’s cost of riding is offset. This day of fun at Antelope Lanes is held in February each year, usually around Valentine’s Day. Raffles for special items also bring in additional funds for our programs.

Rock-in at the Ranch
HwH’s signature annual event with an ever-changing group of horse activities and demonstrations, education, the Prescott Regulators and Their Shady Ladies, Inc, Blacksmith & Spinning Demonstrations, Arts & Crafts displays and workshops, great food, fun, petting zoop, Kids arena, and horses, horses and more horses from mini’s to Clydesdales.   Join us at the ranch for a full day of live bands, great activities and demonstrations to help us raise funds to support our programs for the Special Needs, Veterans and Seniors in our Community.

Bi-Annual Trash Bag Sales
Twice a year, riders sell all sorts and sizes of green trash bags to also raise money toward their riding lessons. This fun way of raising funds is another effective fundraiser for riders and a tremendous asset to the community.

Annual Benefit Trail Ride
Each year, Horses with Heart has a benefit trail ride designed to give riders from the community a chance to help raise funds for our programs and facility. This fun event is often paired with a barbeque, dancing in the dirt and a tack sale. Held off property, riders have a chance to ride in beautiful surroundings knowing that the dollars they spend help support our special needs riders and programs.

ACTHA  Arena Obstacle Challenge & Competitive Trail Challenges
 (American Competitive Trail Horse Association)

Teaming up with ACTHA through their PATH Intl. relationship, Horses with Heart raises funds through an arena event on their ranch and coming in 2015 trail rides with a “twist”.

Sequins and Saddles
Horses with Heart other nonprofits work together to put on a great evening which generates funds for both non-profit organizations. Western music and dancing, great food, a pie auction and a contest for best dressed are highlights of this event. The Jr. Rodeo Court has worked with HwH on this event to the delight of all of our guests as have The Prescott Regulators Shady Ladies”.
