Capital Campaign

Horses with H.E.A.R.T. has operated on land made available to us rent free since our inception in 1993, first in Chino Valley and then at two different locations in Dewey, Arizona. We are facing our forth move in sixteen years. There are many challenges in moving a therapeutic riding center – costs (transporting/reinstalling an arena cover can cost $25,000 alone); the disruption of services, getting each facility up to county codes, and the instability of being on land that we do not own.

Therefore, Horses with H.E.A.R.T. has launched a Capital Campaign to purchase a permanent facility – a ranch where we can expand our programs and continue to serve those with disabilities in Yavapai County. Finding a home of around 10 acres in Prescott Valley is our most pressing concern. While securing a new permanent property, fundraising, and obtaining all necessary County permits, Horses with H.E.A.R.T. is temporarily holding operations at the Five M Ranch, 764 W Road 1 South, in Chino Valley.

Please watch & listen to the video above for more information. It was produced by a young rider in our program. The “talking horse” is Frank – one of our program horses.
